Hi, my name is Luke McCourt and I am a junior currently studying Journalism and Mass Communications at the University of Madison-Wisconsin. As a student here for the last three years and having studied the effects of media I have noticed the relevance of social media on the UW Campus. While Yik Yak is an app where students can come together and confide in each other anonymously, there are negative effects of allowing users to post whatever they want anonymously.
